Nanami Yuki, a pixel artist known for creating unique pixel art with an atmosphere straight out of a novel or a movie scene, will teach you a wide range of skills—from basic knowledge of pixel art to the use of animation features.  

First, you’ll learn the characteristics and expressive range of pixel art, also known as “dot art,” along with the basic usage of Pixaki. You’ll practice through simple artwork creation. In pixel art, the atmosphere of the piece is greatly influenced by the color of each pixel. You’ll learn how to choose colors and shadows to convey the mood you want to express, such as seasons or time of day, considering various elements that impact “color selection.”  In the latter half of the course, you’ll learn how to use Pixaki’s animation features, how to separate layers, and master expressive techniques like blinking or hair movement.
